James R. Altfeld, President

Jim Altfeld has 35+ years experience in business-to-business management, marketing, advertising, and sales. During much of that time, he has involved himself in the strategic analysis of how to get companies up to speed and keep them there. About DHSheldon & Associates DHSheldon & Associates is a NY consulting business with a global reach. Mr. Sheldon started his career at The Raymond Corporation, a world class manufacturer of material handling equipment. In his 23 years there he was continually promoted and ended as General Manager of the After Market Services Division reporting to the CEO. In 1994 Mr. Sheldon left Raymond to become Vice President at the Buker, Inc. consulting company in Chicago, a firm that had successfully advised the Raymond Corp on process improvements, ERP performance and S&OP. For the next 6 years Mr. Sheldon traveled the world helping companies improve performance. Client companies include: Sweetheart Cup, AlliedSignal, Honeywell, Electrolux Home Products (Frigidaire), Grafco PET Packaging Products, Livernois Engineering, Bayer Corporation, Mathews Inc., the NCR Corporation and many more. Countries worked/consulted in include Brazil, Romania, France, England, Ireland, China, Japan, South Korea, Canada and the United States. In 2000 he left Buker to join one of his clients, NCR. Mr. Sheldon has a Master’s degree in Business and Government Policy Studies from The State University of New York and is certified by APICS (Society for Operations Management) in the following areas: CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP. He served on OMBOK (Operations Management Body of Knowledge) and is the Chair of the BOK (body of knowledge) at APICS international and has been a speaker at several conferences and conventions including APICS international conferences. He also holds a green belt certification in Six Sigma from NCR.
